Lindsay Leialoha Hawkins
Certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor
Lindsay
discovered her passion for dance, movement and choreography very early in life and at the age of seven began taking classes
in classical ballet. She remained dedicated to dance for several years, studying and performing many techniques, including
jazz, street and modern with resident and well-known guest instructors on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Lindsay
moved to the Bay Area in 1996 where she earned a place as a professional cheerleader for the San Jose Sabercats, performing
for crowds of thousands and participating their intensive cross-training and dance programs. Lindsay continued to dance
at Long Beach State University where she also studied Hatha Yoga and graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Communications Studies.
Always active, Lindsay has also been deeply involved in weight training and Bikram (Hot) Yoga. She also enjoys running
and can be seen most mornings jogging with her dog Charlie around her home in Olivenhain.
Lindsay was first introduced
to Pilates in the early 1990's as a dancer with the West Hawaii Dance Theater and Academy. She immediately recognized
and appreciated the benefits of this unique training tool and is extremely enthusiastic about the STOTT PILATES® method
in particular as a way to enhance all aspects of an individual's life - body, mind and spirit!
