Rebecca Raiza
Pilates Instructor
Rebecca’s life long passion for fitness, movement and creativity led her into a Pilates mat class in 2000. Loving the philosophy, method and benefits, she continued practicing and studying Pilates through the years. After successful careers in various fields including special education, travel and biotech marketing, a job layoff opened the door for a golden opportunity to make the move from the student to the instructor, a dream she had since her first Pilates class. In November 2011, Rebecca entered the Comprehensive Teacher Training Course with Body Arts and Sciences International, a Pilates educational program highly skilled, dedicated and deeply committed to the Pilates ethos. Currently a candidate for certification, she is excited to share the deep desire to help others, through Pilates, achieve well being and balance to their life. Recognizing the learning process, she looks forward to each clients’ role in her own development and growth as a instructor. A native of Texas, currently living in Cardiff, Ca, Rebecca enjoys all things creative: art, music, cooking, travel and spending time with her chef boyfriend and their dog, Casper.
Michele Celie’ grew up in France and has a BS and MS in Computer Engineering. Sports are an important part of her life. She grew up exercising a lot: gymnastics, ballet, as well as contemporary dance, tennis, jogging, and swimming. She started swimming at age 5 and never really stopped. She feels strongly that in sports, a little everyday is the best way to get fit and feel great. Balance in everything is key. Singing, playing the piano, reading, and her family are also big parts of her life. After 20 years in the corporate world, working in the Wireless industry, she decided to change careers and work closely with actual people, not machines. The many years in management make Michele a natural leader and teacher. Her warm and nurturing teaching style helps make clients feel comfortable and confident. She currently owns and manages Synergy HomeCare of San Diego. She started out at Pegasus Pilates as a client. She soon fell in love with Pilates, believing that it helped her maintain her strength, balance, and prevent injury. With the expansion of Pegasus Pilates she soon fell in love with the new programs that Jennifer Van Deausen was able to implement. She became the first instructor to complete the Pegasus Barre Fusion Certification and has completed her OC Pole Fitness Certification. Her passion and drive and made her one of the lead Aerial Pole Fitness Instructors (and future Pegasus Barre Fusion Instructor Trainer) at Pegasus Pilates. Currently Jennifer and Michele are looking for a second location to dedicate to just Aerial Pole Fitness.
